Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup baking soda Versatile and safe for children.
  • 1/2 cup water Used to mix with baking soda.
  • various colors food coloring Choose vibrant colors for the fizz rocks.

For Fizzing

  • as needed vinegar Used to create the fizz reaction.

Other Materials

  • 1 mixing bowl For mixing the ingredients.
  • 1 spoon For mixing and scooping.
  • 1 set muffin tins or silicone molds To shape the fizz rocks.
  • optional parchment paper Used to cover the molds while drying.

Instructions
 

Prepare the Mixture

  • In a mixing bowl, mix 1 cup of baking soda with 1/2 cup of water. Stir until you have a thick paste.
  • Divide the mixture into small bowls and add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl. Mix until the colors are vibrant.

Mold the Fizz Rocks

  • Use a spoon to scoop the colored mixtures into muffin tins or silicone molds, packing them tightly.
  • Optional – you can cover the molds with parchment paper or leave them as is. Let them dry for at least 24 hours or until solid.

Fizzing Fun

  • Once dry, pop the fizz rocks out of the molds.
  • In a shallow dish or a bowl, place a fizz rock and drizzle a bit of vinegar over it. Watch the colorful fizzing reaction and enjoy the show!

Notes

Customize the colors and shapes for unique fizz rocks! Experiment with scents using essential oils or extracts.
