Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Gather all the materials in one place. Make sure your toys are small enough to fit into the fingers of the gloves.
  • In a bowl, mix water with your chosen food coloring. You can create multi-colored layers by mixing different colors separately.
  • Place small toys into the fingers of the gloves. Position them so they are visible once frozen.
  • Carefully pour the colored water into each glove, making sure to fill them adequately but not to overflow.
  • Tie the tops of the gloves securely to prevent leaks. Place them in the freezer for at least 4-6 hours or until completely frozen.
  • Once frozen, gently cut away the gloves with scissors to reveal the colorful ice hands.
  • Place the ice hands in a container, and watch as the colors mix and reveal the hidden toys inside.

Notes

Experiment with different food dye combinations for unique effects. For a scented experience, add a few drops of essential oil into the water before freezing.
