  • 1 container Water container (for rinsing brushes)
  • 2 pieces Paper towels or cloth (for cleanup)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Select smooth stones that can be easily painted and clean them thoroughly to remove any dirt or residue.
  • Lay out your stones on a flat surface, such as a table covered with newspaper or an old cloth.

Design Planning

  • Decide on the colors and designs you want for each fish. You may want to sketch your ideas on paper first.
  • Consider using different shapes and sizes of stones to create diverse fish.

Painting

  • Using different sized paintbrushes, begin painting your selected color on each stone.
  • Apply multiple coats as needed, allowing drying time between each layer for vibrancy.

Adding Details

  • Once the base color dries, add designs such as scales, fins, and eyes using contrasting colors.
  • If desired, glue on googly eyes and sprinkle on glitter for added flair.

Sealing the Designs

  • Once all the paint is dry, apply a coat of clear varnish or sealant to protect your creations from the elements if displayed outdoors.

Notes

Experiment with color mixing and alternative materials. You can also create themed collections like tropical fish or deep-sea creatures. Consider hosting a painting party to enjoy the crafting experience with others.
