Instructions

Preparation

  • Clean the conch shells thoroughly to remove any residue or sand.
  • Allow them to dry completely to prevent moisture from interfering with the wax.

Wax Melting

  • Using a double boiler, heat the candle wax slowly.
  • Monitor the temperature using a thermometer, aiming for around 170°F (77°C).

Adding Fragrance and Color

  • Once melted, remove the wax from heat.
  • If desired, add essential oils for fragrance and dye for coloring. Stir well.

Wick Preparation

  • Cut the candle wicks to your desired length, making them slightly longer than the height of the shell.

Wax Pouring

  • Carefully pour the melted wax into the conch seashells, leaving enough room for the wick.
  • Insert the wick in the center, ensuring it remains upright.

Cooling and Setting

  • Allow the wax to cool and harden completely, which may take several hours.
  • Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch above the surface for optimal burning.

Notes

Use larger or smaller shells to create varying candle sizes. Combine leftover wax for unique scents.
