Instructions

Preparation

  • In a saucepan, combine the cornstarch and water. Stir gently until mixed.
  • Add the vinegar and baby oil, stirring until a soft mixture forms.
  • Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir continuously as the mixture warms into a dough-like consistency.
  • Once the dough pulls away from the sides of the pan, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly.
  • On a clean surface, sprinkle cornstarch and transfer the warm dough onto this surface. Knead gently until smooth.
  • Roll out the dough to about half an inch thick, using a rolling pin.

Shaping

  • Use cookie cutters or molds to cut out your desired shapes.
  • Press flowers or petals into the cutouts.

Drying

  • Place the charms on wax paper and allow them to dry for at least 24 hours.
  • Once dry, sand any rough spots for a smooth finish.

Notes

Store your finished charms in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading. Clean with a damp cloth to refresh their look if needed.
