  • food coloring (optional) For customizing the dough color

Tools

  • mixing bowl
  • spoon
  • airtight container For storing the dough

Instructions

Preparation

  • Choose a clean, flat surface to work on. A table covered with parchment paper can help with mess.

Mix the Ingredients

  • In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of cornstarch.
  • Slowly pour in 1/2 cup of dish soap while stirring with a spoon.
  • If desired, add a few drops of food coloring to achieve your preferred color.

Combine Until Smooth

  • Continue to stir until the mixture begins to come together. It should feel sticky but manageable.
  • If the mixture is too dry, add a bit more dish soap; if too wet, sprinkle in a bit more cornstarch.

Knead the Dough

  • Once combined, use your hands to knead the dough. This step is crucial for ensuring a smooth texture.
  • Feel the dough change from sticky to soft and pliable as you work with it.

Store Properly

  • Place your bubble dough in an airtight container when not in use to keep it fresh for future play.

Notes

Mix different colors together for swirls and patterns. Add essential oils for scents. Use cookie cutters or molds for creativity.
