  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup Adds sheen.

Materials for Molding

  • Non-stick cooking spray Non-stick cooking spray or parchment paper For easy removal of hearts.
  • Silicone heart molds Silicone heart molds Any size that feels right to you.
  • 1 soft cloth Soft cloth For cleanup.

Preparation

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the cornstarch, water, vinegar, and corn syrup. Stir gently, allowing the ingredients to blend smoothly.
  • Place the saucepan over medium heat, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens to a dough-like consistency.
  • Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool for 5-10 minutes.
  • Lightly spray your molds with non-stick cooking spray.
  • If you wish to add color, divide the dough and mix in the food coloring.

Molding

  • Take a small piece of dough and press it into a heart mold, ensuring edges are filled.
  • Repeat until your molds are filled.
  • Allow hearts to sit for at least 24 hours to dry completely.
  • Carefully remove the hearts from molds once dried.
  • Let the hearts rest for a few more hours before displaying.

Notes

Store finished hearts in a cool, dry place. They can be repurposed or painted for different occasions. Handle with care to maintain their beauty.
