Ingredients
  

Materials Needed

  • 1-2 liter bottles Clean, empty plastic bottles (1-2 liter size) Any clear plastic bottle can be used.
  • 1 piece LED tea light candles (battery-operated) Ensure they are battery-operated for safety.
  • various colors Acrylic paints (bright colors) Choose vibrant colors for best effects.
  • 1 piece Paintbrushes For applying the paint.
  • 1 piece Black marker or tape For creating eyes on the fireflies.
  • 1 piece Scissors For cutting or adjusting materials.
  • 1 piece Wire or string For hanging the fireflies.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Rinse and dry the plastic bottles thoroughly.
  • Remove any labels for a clean look.

Painting

  • Use acrylic paints to create patterns on the outside of the bottles.
  • Experiment with vibrant colors and designs—paint both the body and the lid.
  • Allow it to dry completely before handling.

Creating the Firefly's Head

  • Use a black marker or tape to create eyes on the body of the bottle.
  • Optionally, glue on googly eyes for a fun touch.

Adding the Lighting

  • Place an LED tea light candle inside each bottle, securing it if necessary.
  • Close the lid to help diffuse the light.

Finishing Touches

  • Use wire or string to hang your creations from trees or hooks.
  • Alternatively, place them on tables or shelves for display.

Notes

Swap materials, customize designs, or use different bottle shapes to vary your creations. For safety, avoid using regular candles.
