  • 1 Clear craft glue or hot glue gun For adhering the caps.
  • 2 feet Fishing line or durable string For hanging the suncatcher.
  • 1 Scissors For cutting the string.
  • 1 Paintbrush Optional for applying glue.
  • as needed Optional embellishments (beads, glitter, sequins) For extra decoration.

Preparing Your Workspace

  • Choose a clean area and gather all materials.
  • Cover your surface with newspaper or a plastic sheet to protect it from glue spills.

Creating the Suncatcher

  • Lay out bottle caps in a design you love, arranging them flat to visualize your suncatcher.
  • Use a paintbrush or glue nozzle to attach each bottle cap.
  • Allow your glued caps to dry completely, which takes about 30–60 minutes or until firm to the touch.

Attaching the Hanging Mechanism

  • Cut a length of fishing line or durable string (about 2 feet).
  • Puncture a small hole in the center of the top bottle cap, thread the fishing line through and tie a knot to secure it.

Notes

Consider using different colored paints or adding glitter for a unique finish. You can also incorporate seasonal themes or larger/smaller caps for variety.
