Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 8 pieces Crayons (any color, even broken ones) Choose various colors for a vibrant effect.
  • 1 set Star-shaped silicone molds Use any shape you prefer.
  • 1 sheet Parchment paper For easy cleanup.
  • 1 sheet Baking sheet To catch any drips.
  • 1 Oven To melt the crayons.
  • optional Threads or fishing line For hanging the finished sun catchers.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
  • Choose a variety of crayon colors and peel off the wrappers.
  • Break the crayons into small pieces.

Melting Crayons

  • Arrange the crayon pieces in the silicone molds, mixing and matching colors.
  • Place the filled molds on a baking sheet and carefully slide them into the oven.
  • Check on the crayons after 10-15 minutes; they should be melted and smooth.

Cooling and Finishing

  • Remove the molds from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
  • Carefully pop the crayon stars out of the molds.
  • If desired, thread a fishing line through the top of each star for hanging.

Notes

These Crayon Star Sun Catchers can be stored in a cool, dry place. Use parchment paper to avoid scratches if stacked. They can be reused year after year for different seasons.
