Crochet Pumpkin

Instructions
Create the Pumpkin Body
- Begin with a magic ring (or slip knot) with 6 single crochets (sc) inside.
- In the next round, work 2 sc in each stitch (12 sc).
- Continue increasing in this pattern until you achieve your desired size, generally 24-36 sc.
Shaping the Pumpkin
- Start decreasing by crocheting two stitches together to close the pumpkin shape.
- If desired, add fiberfill stuffing as you close it up.
Create the Stem
- Change to brown yarn.
- Make a small chain, then single crochet in each chain until the desired length and thickness of the stem is achieved.
Attach the Stem
- Use a tapestry needle to sew the stem securely onto the top of the pumpkin.
- Optionally, create small green leaves to embellish your pumpkin.
