  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Non-stick cooking spray For greasing baking dish.

Preparation

  • Clear a clean, flat surface to work on.
  • Spray a baking dish or tray with non-stick cooking spray for easy removal later.

Cooking

  • In a large saucepan over low heat, add the butter and let it melt completely.
  • Add in the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until the marshmallows are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and gradually fold in the puffed rice cereal until all the cereal is coated.
  • Drizzle in the vanilla extract and mix until fully incorporated.

Shaping

  • Allow the mixture to cool slightly, just enough to handle.
  • With greased hands, shape the mixture into rocket-like forms or other fun shapes.
  • Place your creations onto the prepared tray.

Decorating

  • While still warm, sprinkle your chosen decorations on top.
  • Let the snack rockets cool completely before serving.

Notes

Customize your base by swapping puffed rice with other cereals. You can also add flavors like cinnamon or splash of almond extract.
