  • 1 piece mixing bowl
  • 1 piece spoon For stirring the mixture.
  • 1 cup measuring cup For measuring water.
  • 1 piece string or ribbon For decorative finishing touches.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of cornstarch or flour with 1/2 cup of water.
  • Stir thoroughly until you have a smooth, consistent mixture. If desired, add a few drops of food coloring for fun colors!

Filling the Balloons

  • Use a funnel to carefully pour the mixture into a deflated balloon.
  • Stretch the balloon to make it easier to fill. Continue until the balloon is about half-full.
  • Be cautious not to overfill; it needs room to expand!

Sealing the Balloons

  • Tie off the end of the balloon securely to prevent spills.
  • You can also make small decorative knots or bows using string or ribbon for an added touch.
