  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons borax powder Essential for crystallization.

Preparation

  • Shape your flower by twisting several pipe cleaners together.
  • Bend the pipe cleaners into arcs to add petals.

Prepare the Solution

  • Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a small pot.
  • Gradually stir in 3 tablespoons of borax until fully dissolved.
  • Add food coloring if desired.

Assemble the Crystal Flower

  • Attach the flower to a wooden stick or pencil.
  • Ensure the flower dangles into the solution without touching the sides or bottom of the container.
  • Use string or another pipe cleaner to keep it in place.

Let it Grow

  • Allow the solution to cool to room temperature.
  • Leave it undisturbed for 4 to 12 hours to observe crystallization.

Finishing Touches

  • Gently remove the flower when satisfied with the crystal growth.
  • Let it dry on a paper towel.

Notes

Experiment with colors and shapes for unique variations. Add glitter for more sparkle.
