Ingredients
  

For the Sugar Solution

  • 2 cups water Boiled for the sugar solution
  • 1 cup sugar Granulated sugar for creating crystals
  • as desired Food coloring Various colors for personalization

For the Crafting

  • as needed Pipe cleaners Various colors for creating flowers
  • as needed Jars or cups For holding the sugar solution and flowers
  • 1 Spoon For stirring the sugar into the water
  • 1 small pot or pan For boiling water
  • 1 Heat source Like a stove or hot plate for boiling water

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Bend pipe cleaners into flower shapes, using multiple colors for added vibrancy.
  • Twist the ends together to secure the shape of the flowers.

Creating the Sugar Solution

  • In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  • Stir in 1 cup of sugar until it fully dissolves.
  • Mix in a few drops of food coloring to achieve the desired hue.

Assembling the Garden

  • Fill your jars or cups with the prepared sugar solution.
  • Carefully place the pipe cleaner flowers upright in the jars.
  • Allow the jars to sit undisturbed for 24-48 hours to allow crystals to form.

Observing Crystal Growth

  • After a day, check the jars for crystallization around the flowers.
  • Enjoy the magic as the longer you wait, the more crystals will form!

Notes

Experiment with flower shapes and colors. You can use Epsom salt instead of sugar for different crystal effects. Adding glitter can give an extra sparkly touch.
