Ingredients
  

For the Crystal Geodes

  • 6 pieces Clean eggshells (halved and rinsed) Make sure they are thoroughly cleaned.
  • 1 cup Boiling water Use fresh boiling water.
  • 1 cup Sugar Regular white sugar can be used.
  • as needed drops Food coloring (various colors) Feel free to use your favorite colors.
  • 1 piece Baking sheet For placing the filled eggshells.
  • 1 piece Parchment paper To line the baking sheet.
  • 1 piece Spoon for mixing Use a sturdy spoon for stirring.
  • 2 small bowls Small bowls or containers For mixing the sugar solution.

Instructions
 

Preparing the Eggshells

  • Rinse and dry the halved eggshells thoroughly.
  • Place parchment paper on the baking sheet.

Making the Crystal Solution

  • Bring 1 cup of water to a boil.
  • Gradually stir in 1 cup of sugar until fully dissolved.
  • Introduce a few drops of food coloring into the mixture and stir gently to achieve your desired hue.

Filling the Eggshells

  • Carefully pour the sugar solution into each eggshell until full.
  • Place the filled eggshells on the lined baking sheet.

Crystallization Process

  • Allow the eggshells to sit undisturbed at room temperature for 24-48 hours.
  • Observe the crystals forming over time as the solution cools and evaporates.

Notes

Experiment with different color mixtures for unique designs. Consider adding flavored extracts for an added twist on scents.
