- 1 cup Boiling water Ensure water is boiled before mixing.
- Clear plastic gingerbread man molds Various molds can be used for different shapes.
- Ribbon for hanging (optional) Use to hang on the tree.
Instructions
Prepare Your Workspace
- Lay out parchment paper on a baking sheet to catch any spills.
- Gather all materials in a well-ventilated area.
Make the Solution
- Boil water in a kettle or pot.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of boiling water with 1 cup of Epsom salt or sugar.
- Stir the mixture until completely dissolved. You’ll notice a shiny liquid forming.
Fill the Molds
- Carefully pour the solution into the clear plastic molds.
- Leave a little space at the top to prevent overflow.
Crystallization
- Allow your molds to sit undisturbed in a cool area for several hours or overnight.
- You’ll start noticing beautiful crystals forming on the sides.
Remove and Rinse
- Once crystallized, gently remove the gingerbread men from the molds.
- Rinse under cold water to remove any excess salt or sugar.
Hang and Display
- Use a ribbon to tie at the top if desired.
- Display on your Christmas tree or around your home.
