- 1 piece Pencil or craft stick To suspend the ornament.

- 1 set Measuring cups For accurate ingredient amounts.
Instructions
Preparation
- Bend pipe cleaners into desired shapes, such as trees, stars, or snowflakes.
- Ensure the shapes are not too thick to allow for optimal crystal growth.
Creating the Borax Solution
- In a pot, heat 2 cups of water until it’s almost boiling.
- Gradually add 1 cup of Borax to the hot water, stirring continuously.
- Optional: Add a few drops of food coloring for vibrant crystals.
Suspending the Ornament
- Tie one end of the craft string to the top of your pipe cleaner shape.
- Attach the other end to a pencil or craft stick, so it can be suspended above the liquid in the jar.
Immersing in Borax Solution
- Pour the Borax solution into the jar, carefully submerging the pipe cleaner without letting it touch the sides.
- Allow the jar to sit undisturbed in a cool location for 24 hours.
Final Touches
- After 24 hours, gently remove your ornament from the solution.
- Shake off excess liquid and set it out to dry completely.
Notes
Customize with different food coloring combinations or sizes. Incorporate glitter for sparkle. Store in a dry place to prevent melting or dissolving.
