Main Materials

  • 1 package Clear plastic or glass beads Various sizes
  • 1 line Fishing line or thin wire Used to string the beads
  • 1 each Scissors For cutting the fishing line
  • 1 each Sturdy hanger or branch To hang the sun catcher
  • 1 each Hot glue gun or strong adhesive Optional for securing embellishments

Optional Embellishments

  • 1 container Glitter or paint For additional decoration
  • 1 each Small beads or charms Optional for added details

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your materials in a clean, clear workspace. Make sure your beads are clean and ready to use.

Assembly

  • Using scissors, cut a length of fishing line or wire about 2-3 feet long. This will serve as the main line for your sun catcher.
  • Begin stringing the clear beads onto the fishing line, alternating sizes and colors for a dynamic look.
  • Once you have strung your beads to your liking, tie a secure knot at the end of the fishing line to keep them from slipping.
  • If using a branch or hanger, tie one end of your fishing line to it securely to hold your sun catcher in place.
  • If desired, use hot glue or strong adhesive to attach glitter or charms to your beads for extra sparkle.

Hanging

  • Find a sunny spot by a window or outside in your garden. Hang your sun catcher and watch it come alive with color as the sunlight hits it!

Notes

Experiment with color themes that suit your decor. You can also try using recycled glass bits for a unique effect. Create multiple sun catchers of different sizes for variety, and consider themed sets for holidays.
