Ingredients
  

Materials

  • 1 cup Borax powder
  • 2 cups Water Boiled
  • 1 pack Pipe cleaners (in any color)
  • 1 Glass jar (clean and dry)
  • 1 String
  • 1 Pencil or chopstick
  • as needed Food coloring or glitter Optional for extra sparkle

Preparation

  • Shape your pipe cleaners into star shapes, ensuring they fit in the jar.

Solution Preparation

  • Boil about 2 cups of water in a kettle or saucepan.
  • For every cup of boiling water, stir in 3 tablespoons of Borax until fully dissolved.
  • Add food coloring if desired.

Assembly

  • Tie a piece of string to your shaped star and suspend it in the jar using a pencil or chopstick.

Crystal Growth

  • Place the jar in a quiet location and wait for crystal formation.
  • Let it sit overnight for maximum crystal growth.

Finishing Touches

  • After 24 hours, gently remove the star from the solution and let it dry on a paper towel.

Notes

Tips: Experiment with different shapes and colors. You can also use Epsom salt for different crystal effects.
