Dino Night Light Jar
Create a magical Dino Night Light Jar that provides a soothing glow and sparks imagination with dinosaur-themed decorations.
Ingredients
Materials
- 1 jar Glass jar (any size) Ensure it's clean and dry.
- 2-3 figurines Dinosaur figurines (plastic or rubber) Select your favorite dinosaurs.
- 1 bottle Glow in the dark paint For painting the inside of the jar.
- 1 unit Paintbrush To apply the paint.
- 1 tube Clear drying glue or hot glue gun For securing the dinosaurs.
- 1 light Battery-operated tea light To provide the light source.
- 1 sheet Black construction paper or cardstock For additional decoration.
- 1 scissors Scissors For cutting paper shapes.
Instructions
Preparation
- Start with a clean glass jar. Make sure it’s dry and free from any labels.
- Select your favorite dinosaur figurines. Lay them out to see how they will look inside the jar.
Crafting
- Using a paintbrush, apply a coat of glow-in-the-dark paint on the inside of the jar, ensuring to cover the entire surface.
- Once the paint is dry, carefully place the dinosaur figurines inside the jar using glue to secure them.
- Place a battery-operated tea light at the bottom of the jar as the light source.
- For decoration, cut shapes from black construction paper (like trees or rocks) and glue them around the inside of the jar.
- Allow everything to dry completely before using.
Notes
Customize colors with different glow-in-the-dark paints or try different dinosaur figures. Use various jar sizes for different light effects. Always use battery-operated lights for safety.
