Ingredients
  

For the fossil dough

  • 1 cup flour

For shaping and drying

  • 1 Dinosaur toys or dinosaur footprint molds For impressing the fossils

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of sand, and 1/2 cup of salt.
  • Gradually add 1 cup of water while mixing until a dough forms.
  • If desired, add a few drops of food coloring for colorful fossils.

Shaping the Fossils

  • Knead the dough until smooth and pliable.
  • Pinch off a piece of dough and press it into a flat shape.
  • Use your dinosaur toys or footprint molds to create impressions in the dough.

Drying the Fossils

  • Place the shaped fossils on a cookie sheet or parchment paper.
  • Let them air dry for 24-48 hours or bake at 200°F (93°C) for 2-3 hours for faster drying.

Displaying Your Fossils

  • Once dry, paint or decorate your fossils if you wish.
  • Arrange them for display or use them in imaginative play!

Notes

Customization: Use different molds or cookie cutters for varied shapes. Add small pebbles or seeds to your dough for an interesting texture. Experiment with different food colors or paint after drying for vibrant fossils.
