Create colorful DIY dinosaur suncatchers using clear contact paper and tissue paper for a vibrant window display.

- 1 roll Clear contact paper or transparency sheets Used as the base for the suncatcher.
- Assorted sheets Colored tissue paper Various colors for a vibrant effect.

- 1 set Dinosaur templates or drawings Choose your favorite dinosaur shapes.
- 1 marker Black marker For outlining dinosaur shapes.
- 1 roll Tape (optional) To attach the suncatcher to the window.
- 1 window A sunny window For displaying the completed suncatcher.
Instructions
Preparation
- Clear a table and spread out newspapers or a plastic sheet to catch any tissue paper scraps.
- Draw or print out your favorite dinosaur shapes.
- Carefully cut out the dinosaur shapes you’ve chosen and use a black marker to outline for extra visibility.
Assembling the Suncatcher
- Cut the colored tissue paper into small squares or shapes.
- Place a piece of clear contact paper sticky side up on your workspace.
- Stick the dinosaur template on top of the contact paper.
- Fill in the dinosaur shape with the colored tissue paper, overlapping the pieces for a stained glass effect.
- Place another piece of contact paper on top, sealing the colored tissue paper inside.
- Trim any excess contact paper around the edges.
Final Touches
- Use tape to attach the suncatcher to a sunny window and enjoy the colorful display.
Notes
Customize colors according to favorite shows or characters. Consider swapping materials, such as using acrylic paint on clear plastic instead of tissue paper for different effects. Adding glitter will provide a magical twist, and cutting out various dinosaur shapes can make for an exciting mobile.
