- 1 clear glass or plastic jar Clear glass or plastic jar with a lid Any clear container will work.
- 1/2 cup Liquid dish soap Preferably clear.
- 1 tablespoon Glow-in-the-dark paint Alternatively, use 1 teaspoon of glow-in-the-dark powder.
- 1 cup Water This is the base for your glowing solution.
- 3-5 drops Food coloring Recommended colors: blue, purple, and pink.
- 1 Small whisk or stirring stick For mixing ingredients.
- 1 Funnel Optional, for pouring the mixture.
- 1 LED tealight Optional for added glow.

Preparation
- Choose a clean, flat surface to work on. Lay down some newspaper or a plastic cover to catch any spills.
- In a bowl, combine 1 cup of water with 1/2 cup of clear dish soap. Stir gently with a whisk. Avoid creating bubbles.
- If using glow-in-the-dark paint, mix 1 tablespoon of it into the soap solution. If using powder, use 1 teaspoon. Stir until fully incorporated.
- Divide the glowing soap solution into separate bowls. Add 3-5 drops of food coloring to each, creating vibrant blue, pink, and purple colors. Mix well.
- Using a funnel, carefully pour the colored mixture into your jar, layering the colors for a galaxy effect. Start with blue, then purple, and finish with pink.
- Seal the jar tightly with its lid. If you want added illumination, place a small LED tealight under the jar. Turn off the lights and let the magic of the glow unfold!
Notes
Experiment with different food colors or use metallic paints for a unique sparkle. Use smaller jars for party favors or larger ones for statement pieces. Mix in some glitter before sealing the jar for additional texture and sparkle.
