  • 1-2 inches Gravel or small stones For the drainage layer.
  • 1 cup Activated charcoal Helps with filtration and odor control.
  • 2-3 inches Potting soil For planting the plants.
  • 2-3 pieces Small plants (like ferns or succulents) Choose plants with similar light and humidity needs.
  • Various Decorative items (rocks, figurines) Tailor it to your style.
  • 1 piece Spray bottle For watering the plants.
  • 1 piece Chopsticks or small trowel Helpful for planting.

Preparation

  • Clean the glass container thoroughly for a clear view.
  • Add a 1-2 inch layer of gravel or small stones to the bottom of the container for drainage.
  • Sprinkle an even layer of activated charcoal over the gravel to help keep the water fresh.
  • Add about 2-3 inches of potting soil, patting it down gently for a level surface.

Planting

  • Create holes for your plants using chopsticks or a small trowel.
  • Carefully place each plant in the holes, covering the roots well.

Decoration

  • Place decorative rocks, figurines, or desired decorative elements creatively within the terrarium.

Watering

  • Lightly mist the plants and soil with a spray bottle, avoiding overwatering.

Notes

Consider including aquatic plants or fish in fully enclosed aquariums. Use pebbles or sand instead of gravel for aesthetic differences. Choose plants according to light and humidity requirements.
