Preparation

  • Choose your straw: Pick a few straws that will become your bubble wand.
  • Cut the length: Use scissors to cut the straws to your desired length, typically 6 to 8 inches.

Making the Bubble Wand

  • Bend the pipe cleaner: Take a pipe cleaner and bend it into a circle or any shape of your choice.
  • Attach it to the straw: Slide the pipe cleaner onto one end of the straw, ensuring it is secure.

Creating the Bubble Solution

  • In a shallow dish, combine 1 part dish soap and 3 parts water. Stir gently to avoid foam.
  • Optional: Add a drop of food coloring or a sprinkle of glitter for a magical touch!

Start Blowing Bubbles

  • Dip the wand: Submerge the pipe cleaner shape into the bubble solution, making sure it’s well coated.
  • Blow gently: Place the straw in your mouth and blow gently to create bubbles. Experiment with different sizes and shapes!

Notes

Experiment with different pipe cleaner shapes and sizes of straws for unique bubble sizes and shapes. Consider adding essential oils to the bubble solution for scented bubbles. Replace regular straws with reusable silicone straws for an eco-friendly option.
