Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Set up a clean, flat surface to work on.
  • Lay down newspaper or a plastic covering to protect your area from paint spills.

Painting

  • Use acrylic paints to cover the shiny side of the CD.
  • Experiment with patterns or color combinations—swirls, dots, or solid colors.
  • Allow the paint to dry completely before moving on.

Cutting (Optional)

  • If desired, use safety scissors or a craft knife to cut the CDs into different shapes (like hearts or stars).
  • Be sure to supervise younger crafters during this step.

Adding Decorations

  • Use clear adhesive or Mod Podge to attach glitter or stickers on the painted side for added flair.
  • Allow the decorations to dry.

Hanging

  • Create a hole at the top of the CD using a craft knife.
  • Thread string or fishing line through the hole and tie securely.
  • Choose an ideal spot in your home to hang your new suncatcher, preferably near sunlight.
