Ingredients

Materials

  • 1 bottle Clear Glaze or Gel (fabric medium)
  • 1 sheet Parchment Paper or a Silicone Mat To protect your workspace.
  • 1 item Paintbrush or Small Spoon
  • a few drops Food Coloring or Liquid Watercolors For coloring the glaze.
  • optional Glitter or Small Sequins For extra sparkle effect.
  • 1 container Container for Mixing
  • optional Greaseproof Tape If needed.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather Materials: Ensure all your supplies are within arm’s reach for a smooth crafting experience.
  • Work Surface: Lay down parchment paper or a silicone mat to protect your workspace.

Mix Your Colors

  • Combine Glaze and Color: In a container, mix the clear glaze with a few drops of food coloring or liquid watercolors to achieve your desired shade.
  • Customize: Feel free to add glitter or small sequins for an extra sparkly effect.

Designing Your Clings

  • Draw Shapes: Using your paintbrush or spoon, apply the mixture onto the parchment paper in your desired shapes (e.g., stars, hearts, or flowers).
  • Thickness Matters: Ensure your designs are thick enough to hold their shape once dry but not too thick that they take excessive time to cure.

Let Them Dry

  • Curing Time: Allow your clings to dry for 24-48 hours at room temperature. If you’re in a humid environment, it may take longer.
  • Testing: Once dry, gently peel the shapes off the mat.

Application

  • Placing on Windows: Stick your clings on clean windows. They should adhere easily without any additional adhesives.

Notes

Consider custom shapes using cookie cutters or themed sets for holidays.
