  • 2 pieces Pipe cleaners For making antennae.
  • 1 set Markers or crayons For decorating the body and wings.

  • 1 piece String For hanging the dragonfly.

Preparation

  • Step 1: Cut Out Shapes: Use colorful cardstock to cut out two dragonfly wings for each creature. A teardrop shape works best!
  • Consider drawing or stamping patterns on the wings for a fun touch.

Creating the Body

  • Step 2: Cut a small rectangle or oval from a different color cardstock for the dragonfly's body.
  • Use markers or crayons to add stripes or dots for visual interest.

Assembling the Dragonfly

  • Step 3: Position the wings on the upper part of the body and glue or tape them in place.
  • Cut two small lengths of pipe cleaner and attach them to the top of the body for antennae.

Final Touches

  • Step 4: Glue googly eyes onto the body for a fun and playful expression.
  • If you wish to hang your dragonflies, use a string to create a loop at the top.

Notes

Tips & Variations: Experiment with metallic or glitter paper for a dazzling effect. Use fabric scraps instead of paper for a unique texture. Try making smaller or larger dragonflies to create a varying display. Incorporate seasonal colors or designs, such as fall leaves or floral patterns.
