Instructions

Prepare the Jars

  • Clean the plastic jars to ensure they are free of any residue.
  • Paint the jars in a soft green color and allow them to dry completely.

Create the Firefly Bodies

  • Cut the black pipe cleaners into pieces about 4 inches long.
  • Twist the pipe cleaners to form a rounded shape at one end for the head, tapering down towards the tail.

Add the Glow

  • Insert the LED fairy lights gently inside the painted jar, ensuring some lights are near the top.
  • Glue the pipe cleaner bodies onto the rim of the jar or attach them to the outside, ensuring they sit above the lights.

Final Touches

  • Glue artificial leaves or green paper cutouts inside the jar for decoration.
  • Customize with glitter or additional decorations as desired.

Notes

Experiment with glow-in-the-dark paint for an additional twist! Use various-sized jars for a layered effect. Consider using waterproof paint for outdoors.
