  • Assorted beads Colorful beads (glass or plastic)
  • 1 piece Clear fishing line or nylon thread Length about 3-5 feet
  • 1 hoop A metal or wooden hoop (for hanging)
  • 1 pair Scissors
  • 1 piece Hot glue gun (optional for securing larger pieces)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Find a clean, flat surface to lay out your materials.
  • Gather all your supplies to make the crafting process smooth and enjoyable.

Design Your Layout

  • Lay out seashells and beads to visualize your design before assembling.
  • Consider color patterns or shapes that will complement each other.

Stringing the Beads and Seashells

  • Cut a length of fishing line about 3-5 feet long, depending on how long you want your sun catcher.
  • Start threading beads onto the fishing line, alternating colors and shapes for variation.
  • Use a piece of seashell in between beads to add texture.

Secure Your Design

  • Tie a secure knot in between sections, if needed, to keep beads and shells in place.
  • Continue until you’ve reached your desired length, filling in with additional seashells as you go.

Attach to the Hoop

  • Once your string is complete, tie it to the metal or wooden hoop.
  • Trim any excess line to keep it neat.

Finish and Hang

  • Decide where you want to hang your sun catcher to best catch the light.
  • Use a stronger adhesive if necessary to secure larger shells or add decorative elements.
