  • 1 cup Distilled water Regular water can be used but distilled is recommended to prevent cloudiness.
  • to taste tablespoons Glitter (white, silver, or holiday-themed) Customize colors to match décor.
  • 1 tablespoon Glycerin (optional, for slower movement) This thickens the mixture, slowing down glitter movement.
  • various Miniature figurines or decorations (like trees, animals, or snowmen) Use holiday-themed mini figurines for seasonal flair.
  • as needed Super glue Use for securing figurines to the jar lid.

Preparation

  • Begin by selecting a clean, dry jar.
  • If you’re using figurines, superglue them to the bottom of the jar lid and let them dry completely.

Mixing

  • In a bowl, combine distilled water with a few teaspoons of glitter.
  • If you want a thicker consistency, add a tablespoon of glycerin.

Filling the Jar

  • Pour the glitter mixture into the jar, filling it to about three-quarters full.
  • Carefully add more water until the jar is almost full, leaving a little space at the top.
  • Securely screw the lid on.

Enjoying

  • Turn the jar upside down and shake gently. Watch the snowstorm unfold!
