  • 1/2 cup glycerin Alternative: corn syrup may be used
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch Provides structure to the bouncy ball
  • 1 tablespoon water Helps to blend the ingredients
  • Food coloring (optional) Add for colored bouncy balls

Tools

  • 1 mixing bowl For combining all ingredients
  • 1 spoon or spatula For mixing the batter
  • 1 silicone molds or muffin tins For shaping the bouncy balls

Instructions

Preparation

  • Ensure your workspace is clean and free of distractions. Cover the surface with newspaper for easy cleanup.

Mixing Ingredients

  • In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of liquid soap.
  • Gradually stir in 1/2 cup of glycerin until fully combined.
  • Next, add 1/2 cup of cornstarch and stir well to avoid lumps.

Adding Water and Color

  • Add 1 tablespoon of water to the mixture.
  • If you’d like your bouncy ball to have some color, add a few drops of food coloring and mix until the color is evenly distributed.

Molding

  • Carefully pour the mixture into silicone molds or a muffin tin.
  • Fill the molds just below the top edge to allow for expansion.

Setting

  • Leave your molded balls to set for at least 4-6 hours or until they are firm.
  • Once set, pop them out of the molds gently.

Notes

Add a few drops of essential oils for aromatic bouncy balls. Experiment with layers of different colors in the molds for a visually stunning effect. If the balls are too hard, try adding a little more glycerin next time.
