Materials

  • 1 piece Clear glass pieces (old windows, bottles, or specialty glass)
  • 1 pack Colorful beads Easy to find, adding vibrant touches
  • 1 roll String or fishing line Substitute-friendly; pick what feels right
  • 1 piece Wire Gauge of your choice, will help with hanging
  • 1 piece Scissors For cutting the string or wire
  • to taste Optional embellishments (like feathers or leaves for additional texture)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin with gathering your materials on a comfortable surface. Feel the textures and colors in your hands, letting the warmth of your space surround you.
  • Choose a base for your sun catcher, like a piece of clear glass or an old window frame. Lay it down gently, making sure it feels secure.
  • Select your glass pieces and arrange them on the base. Play with the positioning and colors until it feels right. Trust your instincts; there’s no wrong way.

Assembly

  • Using your string or fishing line, carefully tie the glass pieces together. Focus on the sensation of the string sliding through your fingers and how it holds everything in place.
  • If you have beads, now is the perfect time to add them. Thread them onto your string for bursts of color and light. Let the warmth of the colors inspire you as you work.
  • Once you have all your pieces secured, gently trim any excess string. Breathe in the calmness of your completed work as you admire the unique design.
  • Find a spot to hang your sun catcher, ideally where it can catch the sunlight. Allow yourself a moment to enjoy the way it catches the light, casting lovely patterns around your space.

Notes

To keep your sun catcher looking vibrant, gently clean it with a soft cloth every now and then. Store your sun catcher in a safe spot if you ever want to take it down. You can add or swap pieces to reflect new colors and styles with changing seasons.
