  • 1 piece Old CDs or DVDs Recycled materials for crafting

Preparation

  • Clean your surface and gather all materials.
  • Lay down newspaper or a disposable tablecloth to protect your workspace.

Design the Suncatcher

  • Choose the colors you want to use.
  • Use acrylic paint to create designs on the shiny side of the CDs. You can also use permanent markers for finer details.
  • Allow them to dry completely. This may take a few hours depending on your paint choice.

Cut and Shape

  • If desired, cut the CDs into unique shapes carefully, and be mindful of sharp edges.
  • Use a hole punch near the edge if you want to hang them later.

Assemble the Suncatcher

  • Apply a layer of mod podge or clear adhesive to enhance shine and durability.
  • Cut a length of string or fishing line and tie it through the holes for hanging.
