  • 6 cups Paper cups (biodegradable preferred)
  • 1 bag Potting soil

  • various Paint or markers (for decorating the cups)
  • 1 Paintbrush (if using paint)
  • 1 Watering can or spray bottle

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start with clean cups to avoid contamination.
  • Using paint or markers, decorate the outside of the cups with Easter themes—think eggs, bunnies, or spring colors.

Planting

  • Fill each cup with potting soil, leaving about an inch of space at the top.
  • Sprinkle a few grass seeds or flower seeds on top of the soil and gently press them in.
  • Use a watering can or spray bottle to moisten the soil.

Care

  • Place your cups in a sunny spot and keep the soil moist but not soggy.
  • Observe the changes as the grass or flowers begin to sprout.

Notes

Consider swapping seeds for different types like herbs or wildflowers based on your preference. Add stickers, ribbons, or decorative tape for more personalization. You can use egg cartons or small pots instead of paper cups for variation.
