Preparation

  • In a medium saucepan, mix together 1 cup of corn syrup, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 1/4 cup of water.
  • Gently stir the mixture over low heat until the sugar has completely dissolved.
  • Gradually sprinkle 1 packet of gelatin into the warm mixture, stirring continuously to avoid clumps.
  • Let it dissolve fully for a smoother consistency.
  • Add a few drops of food coloring and a splash of your chosen flavor extract, mixing well until you achieve your desired color and taste.
  • Remove the pan from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly. It should be warm but not hot to touch.
  • Once cooled, dust your hands with powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
  • Take small amounts of the sticky mixture and roll them into balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  • Dust each ball with more powdered sugar to keep them from sticking together.
