Ingredients

  • 1 piece Empty egg carton (6 or 12 cups) Choose based on the number of train cars desired.
  • 1 set Paint (various colors) Can use non-toxic or water-based paint.
  • 1 set Paintbrushes For painting the egg carton.
  • 1 piece Scissors For cutting the egg carton.
  • 15 piece Googly eyes For adding character to the train.
  • 1 set Markers or crayons For additional decorations.
  • 1 bottle Craft glue For assembling parts together.
  • 4 pieces Small wheels (bottle caps or buttons) Used as wheels for the train.
  • 1 piece Craft paper (optional) For extra decorations.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Take your clean egg carton and cut it into individual sections (2-3 cups for each train car).

Painting and Decorating

  • Use paintbrushes to color each section of the carton with bright hues.
  • Consider adding windows, doors, and other elements using markers or crayons.

Attaching Wheels

  • Flip the painted egg cups upside down.
  • Glue the bottle caps or buttons on each side to serve as wheels. Allow to dry fully.

Assembling the Train

  • If desired, connect multiple sections of the egg carton to create a longer train.
  • Use glue to secure the pieces together, creating a sturdy train.

Finishing Touches

  • Once assembled, add googly eyes to the front for character.
  • Enhance with additional decorations using craft paper or stickers.

Notes

Use non-toxic materials and supervise children while using scissors. Tailor the project to suit different themes and age groups. Involve younger children in decorating while opting for adult supervision during cutting and assembly.
