Ingredients
  

Main Materials

  • 6 pieces Clean empty eggshells (halved)
  • 1 cup White glue or Mod Podge
  • 1 cup Epsom salt or borax Borax can be used for larger crystals.
  • few drops Food coloring (various colors)
  • as needed pieces Small bowls for mixing
  • 1 pieces Paintbrushes
  • 1 sheet Wax paper (for drying)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gently rinse and dry the halved eggshells.
  • Place the eggshell halves on a sheet of wax paper to catch any drips.

Glue Mixture

  • In a small bowl, mix equal parts white glue and water.
  • Stir until smooth to help the crystals adhere.

Painting

  • Use a paintbrush to coat the inner surface of the eggshells with the glue mixture.
  • Add a few drops of food coloring to the glue, mixing it well before applying.

Adding Crystals

  • While the glue is wet, sprinkle Epsom salt (or borax) generously over the colored glue.
  • Ensure that the salt sticks to the glue for maximum crystal growth.

Drying

  • Allow the eggshells to sit undisturbed for several hours or overnight.
  • After drying, gently shake off any excess salt.

Display

  • Once the crystals have formed, your egg geodes are ready to be displayed.
  • You can use them for decoration or as unique gifts.

Notes

Consider mixing different food colors for a multi-colored geode effect. You can also try using sugar or rock salt for different crystal styles and add fine glitter for a sparkling effect.
