Epsom Salt Slime

Ingredients
  

Slime Base

  • 1 cup white school glue Standard white craft glue
  • 1/2 cup water Room temperature water
  • 1 tablespoon Epsom salt Provides calming properties
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda Helps to activate the slime
  • 1/2 cup liquid starch Acts as a slime activator

Optional Add-ins

  • to taste food coloring Optional for coloring the slime
  • to taste essential oils Optional for scent

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, pour 1 cup of white school glue.
  • Add 1/2 cup of water and stir until well combined.

Incorporate Epsom Salt

  • Sprinkle in 1 tablespoon of Epsom salt.
  • Mix thoroughly until the salt is fully dissolved.
  • Feel the texture change!

Add Color and Scent

  • If desired, add a few drops of food coloring and essential oils.
  • Stir until you achieve your desired color and aroma.

Activate the Slime

  • Add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and mix well.
  • Slowly add 1/2 cup of liquid starch, stirring continuously.
  • You’ll notice the mixture beginning to clump together and form slime.

Knead the Slime

  • Once the slime begins to form, use your hands to knead it.
  • The more you knead, the smoother and more pliable the slime will become!

Notes

Store slime in an airtight container to prolong its life. You can add more liquid starch if the slime is too sticky. Feel free to explore with different colors and scents!
