Materials

  • 1 set Fabric scraps (cotton, burlap, or felt) Choose various colors and patterns
  • 1 piece Scissors For cutting fabric
  • 1 piece Needle and thread or sewing machine Choose based on your preference
  • 1 bag Stuffing (polyfill or recycled fabric) For filling the pumpkin
  • 1 piece Twine or ribbon For creating the stem
  • 1 piece Hot glue gun (optional) For securing decorations
  • 1 set Buttons or other embellishments (optional) For decorating the pumpkin

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cut your fabric into a circle with a diameter of about 10-15 inches.
  • Thread your needle with a double strand of thread and make a running stitch along the edge of the circle, leaving a long tail at the beginning.
  • Pull the thread to gather the fabric into a pouch shape, leaving an opening in the middle for stuffing.
  • Insert stuffing into the pouch until it’s full and fluffy, then pull the thread tight and secure with a knot to close the opening.
  • Take a small piece of twine or ribbon, and attach it at the top center of your pumpkin to form the stem using hot glue if desired.
  • Add embellishments like buttons or leaves to give your pumpkin a unique personality.

Notes

Experiment with different fabric choices and colors to create unique pumpkins. You can also host a pumpkin-making party for additional fun.
