Ingredients
  

Materials

  • 1 cup baking soda Main ingredient for the snow texture.
  • 1/2 cup conditioner (white or clear) Use any type of conditioner, preferably unscented for allergies.
  • 1 each Mixing bowl For combining the ingredients.
  • 1 each Spoon or spatula To mix the ingredients.
  • as desired Glitter (optional) For sparkle in the snow.
  • as desired Food coloring (optional) For tinting the snow.

Preparation

  • Choose a clean, flat surface or table to work on.
  • Lay down parchment paper or a plastic tablecloth for easy cleanup.

Combine Ingredients

  • In a mixing bowl, pour 1 cup of baking soda.
  • Next, add 1/2 cup of your chosen conditioner.

Mix Together

  • Using a spoon or spatula, mix the baking soda and conditioner until well combined.
  • Aim for a fluffy, snow-like consistency; it should feel moist but not too sticky.

Customize (Optional)

  • If desired, stir in a sprinkle of glitter for a shimmering effect.
  • Add a few drops of food coloring if you’d like to create tinted snow.

Playtime or Decoration

  • Spread out your fake snow for sensory play, use it in holiday displays, or shape it into snowballs and decorations.

Notes

For fluffier snow, add more conditioner gradually until the right texture is reached. Store any leftover fake snow in an airtight container to keep it fresh for the next use.
