Ingredients

Main Materials

  • 1 bottle Clear glass or plastic bottle with a wide mouth
  • 1 cup Epsom salt or glitter (silver/gold) Alternative: use glow-in-the-dark glitter for added effect.
  • 5-10 Small stars or charms (plastic or paper)
  • 1 String lights (battery-operated)
  • 1 Funnel (or paper to create one) Use a piece of paper rolled into a cone if a funnel is not available.
  • 1 Ribbon or twine (optional for decoration)

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Step 1: Start with a clean, dry bottle. Ensure it’s free from dust or residue.
  • Step 2: If you don’t have a funnel, roll a piece of paper into a cone shape and secure with tape.
  • Step 3: Use the funnel to pour Epsom salt or glitter into the bottle. A gentle shake will create a lovely, starry effect.
  • Step 4: Drop in your stars or charms. You will hear the tinkling sound as they land among the salt!
  • Step 5: Carefully arrange the string lights inside the bottle, letting some wires hang out if desired. Turn on the lights to see the twinkling stars!
  • Step 6: Seal the bottle with the cap or a cork. Optionally wrap a ribbon or twine around the neck of the bottle for added flair.

Notes

Consider adding food coloring to the Epsom salt for colorful stars. Use themed decorations based on the season for added creativity.
