Ingredients
  

For the Foam Base

  • 1 cup shaving cream Foamy, not gel
  • 1 cup white glue School glue works best
  • Food coloring (red, blue) A few drops for each color
  • 1 cup cornstarch

Preparation

  • Clear a table or countertop, ensuring you have enough space for mixing and crafting.
  • Lay down some newspaper or a plastic sheet to keep the area clean.

Mix the Base

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of white glue with 1 cup of shaving cream.
  • Stir gently with a spatula until the mixture becomes fluffy and well combined.

Add the Color

  • For Red Foam: Add a few drops of red food coloring to the mixture. Stir until evenly blended.
  • For Blue Foam: In a separate bowl, repeat the process with blue food coloring.

Combine with Cornstarch

  • Gradually add 1 cup of cornstarch to each colored mixture.
  • Mix thoroughly to achieve a light, airy foam texture.

Adjust Consistency

  • If the foam seems too wet, add a little more cornstarch until the desired consistency is achieved.
  • Remember, the goal is a fluffy, moldable foam.

Display and Play

  • Spread the foam on a baking sheet or tray, creating a layered effect with red, white, and blue.
  • Encourage kids to explore, mold, and create with the foam!

Notes

Scent it up by adding a few drops of vanilla extract or any essential oil. You can also swap colors for different holidays and incorporate small toys or beads for added texture.
