Ingredients
  

Materials

  • 2 pieces Mason jars or glass containers Clean and dry thoroughly
  • 1 set LED tea light candles Ensure they fit securely inside the jars
  • 1 bottle Glow-in-the-dark paint Can also use glow sticks
  • 1 pieces Paintbrushes For applying the paint
  • 1 sheets Black construction paper For creating firefly shapes
  • 1 pieces Scissors For cutting firefly shapes
  • 1 pieces Twine or ribbon For decorative touches
  • 1 pieces Hot glue gun (optional) For attaching the fireflies

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Clean and dry the mason jars thoroughly.
  • Use a paintbrush to apply glow-in-the-dark paint on the inside of the jars, ensuring even coverage for the best glow effect.

Create Fireflies

  • Cut out small firefly shapes from the black construction paper.
  • Optionally, add eyes or embellishments to your fireflies with colored markers.
  • Use a hot glue gun to attach the fireflies to the outside of the jar.

Insert Lights

  • Place an LED tea light candle inside each jar.
  • Ensure the candle fits securely at the bottom and can be easily turned on/off.

Add Finishing Touches

  • Use twine or ribbon to create a decorative handle or bow around the neck of the jar.
  • Feel free to paint the outside of the jar for added color or effects.

Enjoy

  • Place your lanterns around your patio or indoor space.
  • Turn the lights on in the evening and enjoy the magical glow.

Notes

Customize the glow with different colors of paint and try different embellishments for varied effects. Supervise children during glue application and scissor use.
