Ingredients
  

Materials

  • 1 piece Thick paper or cardstock Easy to find at art supply stores
  • 1 set Watercolor paints or liquid watercolor Can substitute with acrylic if preferred
  • 1 piece Straws Flexible or regular straws can be used
  • 1 pair Scissors To cut the straws as desired
  • 2 pieces Small containers For paint (like cups or bowls)
  • 1 cup Water For cleaning brushes and thinning paint
  • 1 roll Paper towels To catch any spills
  • optional Glitter or sequins For a touch of sparkle

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Begin by laying your thick paper flat on your workspace.
  • Pour small amounts of watercolor paint into your containers.
  • If you choose to cut the straws, do so now, achieving lengths that feel comfortable.

Painting

  • Use the brush to place a few drops of paint on the paper, creating clusters of color.
  • Bring the straw to your lips and blow gently over the paint spots.
  • Feel free to tilt the paper slightly to let the paints flow and mingle.
  • Experiment with layering colors for unique patterns.

Finishing Up

  • Once satisfied, set your artwork aside to dry completely.

Notes

Once dry, consider placing your artwork in a protective sleeve or frame. Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight to prevent fading.
