Ingredients
  

For the Snowman Base

  • 1 cup baking soda
  • water as needed water to achieve moldable consistency

For the Fizzing Reaction

  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • a few drops food coloring (optional) to customize the fizzing effect

For Decoration

  • as needed craft glue
  • various decorative items (buttons, small scarves, etc.) to personalize your snowman

For Preparation

  • 1 tray or large dish to contain the fizzy reaction
  • small plastic cups or bowls for mixing

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of baking soda and gradually add water until it reaches a moldable consistency.
  • Mold the mixture into three snowman shapes: a larger bottom, a medium middle, and a smaller top for the head.

Assembly

  • Stack the three snowman sections carefully to form your snowman. Ensure they are stable.

Decoration

  • Use glue to attach buttons for eyes and a small piece of fabric for a scarf. Get creative with accessories!

Fizz Preparation

  • In a cup, mix 1/2 cup of vinegar with a few drops of food coloring, if desired.

The Big Reveal

  • Pour the vinegar mixture over your baking soda snowman and enjoy the fizzing reaction! Observe the bubbly eruption and see how it mimics melting snow.

Notes

For variations, use different food colors for each snowman’s reaction, add peppermint extract for scent, and create a winter landscape with cotton balls as snow.
