  • 1 unit Eye dropper or squeeze bottle For dropping vinegar into baking soda.
  • 1 unit Bowl for mixing To mix food coloring with vinegar.

Preparation

  • Set up your tray on a flat surface to contain any spills.
  • Wear safety goggles for protection, especially for younger kids.

Mixing Ingredients

  • Pour 1 cup of baking soda into the tray, spreading it evenly.
  • Create small wells using your fingers to hold the vinegar.
  • Assign colors and mix drops of food coloring in separate cups with a little vinegar.

Fizzing Action

  • Using your dropper or squeeze bottle, release the colored vinegar into each well of baking soda.
  • Watch the colorful fizzing and bubbling occur while listening to the delightful sounds!

Experimentation

  • Try different combinations of colors or add more vinegar to see how the reaction changes.

Notes
