Experiment Materials

  • 2 tablespoons Baking soda Spoon a generous amount into each cup.
  • 1 cup White vinegar Use in combination with food coloring.

Preparation

  • Spread out your baking tray or large dish to catch any overflow from the experiment.
  • Set your small cups or containers on the tray, spaced apart.

Mixing Ingredients

  • Spoon a generous amount of baking soda into each cup, around 2 tablespoons.
  • In separate containers, mix white vinegar with a few drops of food coloring (one color per container).
  • Stir gently to see the colors come to life!

Fizzing Reaction

  • Use an eye dropper or spoon to carefully add the colored vinegar to the baking soda.
  • Watch and listen as the mixture fizzes, bubbles, and produces a colorful eruption!

Experimentation

  • Repeat the process with different colors and combinations to see how they interact.
  • Observe the changes and discuss the science behind the fizzy reactions!

Notes
