Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Baking soda
  • 1/2 cup Citric acid
  • various colors Food coloring Choose a variety of colors for vibrant hearts.

Supplies

  • 1 piece Heart-shaped molds To shape the fizzy hearts.
  • 1 piece Spray bottle with water For dampening the mixture.
  • 1 piece Mixing bowl
  • 1 piece Spoon or spatula For mixing.
  • 1 set Measuring cups To measure the ingredients.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the baking soda and citric acid.
  • Add a few drops of food coloring to the dry mixture and mix well.
  • Lightly spray the mixture with water using the spray bottle. Be cautious, only add a little at a time; the mixture should be damp but not wet.

Shaping

  • Press the fizzy mixture firmly into the heart-shaped molds.
  • Allow the hearts to dry for several hours or overnight until they’re hard.

Fizzing Action

  • Once dry, remove the hearts from the molds.
  • Place the hearts in a bowl, add a splash of water, and watch the fizzy reaction take place!

Notes

Customize your fizzy hearts with various colors and scents. Ensure they are stored in an airtight container for longer lifespan.
